I, Dr Shamshad Syed Graduated in 1982 from Khyber Medical College Peshawar University, Pakistan. I did my basic surgical Training in Ireland and completed my FRCS in 1992 from Royal College of Surgeons Dublin. I started my Paediatric Surgical Training in Dublin and completed in Bristol Children Hospital in 1995. I worked as a Consultant Paediatric Surgeon in Saudi Arabia till 1999. I came to UK in 1999. I did FEBPS (Fellow of European Board of Paediatric Surgery) in 2003.

I worked during my surgical training in General Surgery, Trauma, Orthopaedic and A & E. As a Paediatric Surgeon I worked as Paediatric General Surgeon, Neonatal Surgeon and Paediatric Trauma Surgeon. I am now working part time (two days/week). Currently I am working as a Paediatric Surgeon and Trauma Surgeon at St. Mary’s Hospital, Imperial College NHS Healthcare Trust.

I have extensive experience of writing medico-legal reports for soft tissue injuries, sprains and injuries due to road traffic accidents. I have been providing medico-legal reports since January 2012. I see medico-legal clients in London, Cardiff, Bedford, Swindon, Northampton, Oxford, Luton, Hemel Hempstead, Newbury, High Wycombe and Swansea.

I am up to date with Medico-Legal courses and required training. My consulting venues are private and suitable for the medico-legal consultations. I follow the COVID-19 safety guidelines when seeing the clients in face-to-face clinics. My consultation and examination techniques are quite thorough and medical reports are produced to high standards.

Appointment booking procedure:

All of my consulting rooms are private, fixed and suitable for medico-legal consultations. To reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19 virus, I am offering remote consultation appointments to clients. I can offer video appointments through WhatsApp, FaceTime, Zoom, Skype, Google or through any other secure platform as per the client’s needs. I can offer weekend or evening appointments in some of my venues too. I am following the Government guidelines and will start face to face appointments when it is safe to do so.

Special Needs

All of my consulting locations have disabled access and have parking facilities. I always want the best customer services experience for my clients. If you need any special assistance for your appointment, please do let my secretary know about this at the time of arranging the appointment.

Turnaround time:

I do offer evening appointments. For the remote appointments, the waiting time is 3 days. On the normal circumstances, for the face-to-face appointment, the waiting time is between 1 to 2 weeks. Medical reports and any amendments are submitted within 3 days. Any other queries will be responded within 48 hours of receipt.

I strictly adhere to all the procedures and policies set by MedCo and always follow GMC good medical practice guidelines for examining my clients.
