I, Dr Ali Motie have been providing medico-legal reports since 2015. Being working on variety of fields NHS Consultant and Locum Consultant in Neuro Rehabilitation, I have seen hundreds of patients involved in road accidents, head injuries, spinal injuries, soft tissue and whiplash injuries and other traumatic and non-traumatic orthopaedic and musculoskeletal problems. I have vast experience of seeing clients with other personal injuries as the result of various accidents. I attend regular meetings, conferences and seminars to keep updating myself.

I also have extensive experience of writing medico-legal reports on soft tissue injuries while working as neurosurgery, spinal injuries and surgery, rehabilitation medicine, A&E and as a senior registrar in rheumatology, neurology and orthopaedics, for soft tissue injuries, sprains and injuries due to road traffic accidents. In addition. Currently, in my capacity as an NHS substantive consultant I provide medico-legal reports on a regular basis. I am also able to comment on low velocity impact (LVI) incidents.

I take thorough history, perform clinical evaluation and suggest appropriate treatment and see if a further report needed of any other specialty including Specialist including Orthopaedic, rheumatology and musculoskeletal consultants and clinical Psychologist.

I keep myself up to date with the advances in General Practice as well as the changes implemented by MedCo and I am up to date with my CME requirements.

I aim to provide good quality, authoritative medical reports which avoid or explain medical jargons. Every report includes a cogent opinion and prognosis section to assist the legal analysis of the case. I am conversant with the Civil Procedure Rules and recent MoJ reforms and their impact on medico-legal reporting.
